I had the 28mm f/1.8G before this. It was my favorite carry-around lens, which is saying a lot. This 24mm is now my favorite.

Nice awesome lens. Works beautifully on a D500 as a 35mm equivalent and super sharp on a D4.

This lens is beautiful! I received it a day earlier than the expected shipping date (always a plus) and it works PERFECTLY. LOVE it!

Disappointed that it arrived factory fresh with unacceptable forward focusing error. At 3 to target the auto focus was off by about 3", which at f1.8 depth of field is way out of focus. Lens is stellar using manual focus or direct contrast focusing in Live View, but the AF failure showed up consistently on two different camera bodies so error is definitely in the lens. Shipped to Nikon at my cost for warranty repair - which is irritating. Its sad that a $750 lens would pass Nikons QC in such bad alignment. Wish they were still made in Japan instead of China, or even made at their Malaysia plant where quality seems to be under better control.
