As another reviewer wrote, dont get a junked up kit. Ill say that I have professional training and experience in photography (though back in the film days). The included lens is enough for about anything most of us want to photograph. It goes from wide angle out to what you want for portraits and moderate magnification of scenes. If you need more "telephoto," you can crop in on an image in a photo editing program and still have plenty of pixels for a decent print -- and we look at most photos nowadays on screens anyway. Ive attached three photos from the T7i taken at MEDIUM resolution: full frame, and two crops. (I just use Apples Photos, which comes with the Mac, and Im sure Windows has a similar program; you dont need the high-priced suite to crop, rotate, change brightness, change color cast, etc.) Not sure if the uploads will be thinned down by Amazon, but FWIW. A great lens is one thing that helps. Add a UV filter, a lens hood, an extra memory card, an extra Canon battery -- these are all useful. But if you ever want, say, an external flash unit (the built-in flash is great, BTW), shop then for a really super one. Also buy the book, "Canon EOS Rebel T7i/800D for Dummies," which talks about WHY, not just HOW. The Canon camera bag is perfect. You dont want to lug a swollen burden across China!

I looove my camera! I would definitely recommend purchasing this bundle as opposed to the others offered on Amazon. The others that are similarly priced and provide more items are all very low quality "extras" that might as well go straight in the trash.

I really love this camera so far. I have always enjoyed photography, but have never had a camera like this. I finally took the plunge and treated myself so I could fulfill one of my hobbies more! I consider myself a beginner photographer and purchased this to photograph family, friends, and scenery when we travel. The functions are pretty easy to navigate. I recommend taking some time when you first get it to become familiar with all the settings. I like that it comes with only the necessities to get started: body, lens, battery, SD card, bag, and strap. I have not tried video yet. I would recommend getting a camera like this if you love photography but are a newbie at it, like myself. It will make you happy. :)
